CHD Heart Walk

At Team Dan's Army, our mission is to improve the lives of CHD families and other individuals in need by providing essential services and support to our communities. We believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities such as food, shelter, and healthcare, especially for those affected by congenital heart defects, including HLHS families. Through initiatives like the CHD Heart Walk, we aim to support heart families and ensure they receive the help they deserve.

Founded in 1994, Team Dan’s Army has proudly served CHD families and our communities for more than 30 years. Our organization was created to connect individuals and families, including HLHS families, with essential support through community referrals, food assistance, advocacy, heart-focused programs, social media outreach, and other valuable resources. We are particularly dedicated to supporting heart families affected by congenital heart defects.

Team Dan’s Army was created in loving memory of Daniel, a brave congenital heart disease (CHD) warrior whose strength, courage, and smile inspired everyone he met. Although Daniel earned his wings, his legacy lives on through our mission of supporting CHD families, raising awareness about congenital heart defects, and ensuring that no family, including HLHS families, faces this journey alone. Every event we host, including the CHD Heart Walk, every resource we share, and every life we touch is done in Daniel’s honor. Our purpose is to turn love into action, bring hope to families affected by CHD, and create a community where every heart warrior is celebrated and remembered.
